The Canadian Film Fest (CFF), in collaboration with the Firecracker Department, has launched the Comedy Igniter Challenge, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering female and non-binary Canadian filmmakers. This challenge pushes participants to create a comedic short film within a tight four-week window, starting from a unique prompt provided by a renowned comedy artist. With the support of both organizations, participants develop, produce, and showcase their short films, bringing fresh and diverse perspectives to the comedy genre.
